Scan Clan is a free document scanner app. It turns the camera on your phone into a scanner: point it at a page, and Scan Clan finds the edges, straightens the shot, cleans up the lighting and turns it into a PDF you can sign, protect and share.
Scan Clan is built by Abhishek Chauhan and published by Spirikle. A Scan Clan account is required, and it is free: your documents are kept in your account so they survive a lost phone and reach every device you use, with 500 MB of storage included. You can sign in with Google or with an e-mail address and password. From Google we request only your name, e-mail address and profile picture, and nothing else. How it works
Three steps, and the first two happen on your device. Nothing is uploaded to make a scan.
Point the camera
Scan Clan finds the edges of the page while you frame it, so you do not have to line the shot up perfectly.
Let it clean the page
The scan is straightened and the lighting evened out. Pick a filter if you want the paper whiter or the ink darker.
Send it as a PDF
Add pages, sign it, watermark it, lock it with a password, and share it straight from the app.

Edge detection while you frame
Scan Clan tracks the page in the viewfinder and straightens the photo into a flat, rectangular scan.
Twelve filters
Magic Color, Magic White, Black and White, Greyscale, Whiteboard, Blackboard, Lighten Text, No Shadow, Screen, Vivid and Glare Removal, or keep the original.
Real PDF editing
Reorder, rotate and delete pages, and merge, split or compress whole documents.
Signatures and watermarks
Save a signature once and drop it onto any page, or stamp a watermark before you send something out.
Text recognition
Pull the text out of a scan so the page can be searched and copied.
Password-protected sharing
Export a PDF locked with AES-256 encryption when it is going somewhere it should not be read on the way.
Import what you already have
Bring in photos and existing PDFs and edit them alongside anything you scan.
Your library, on every device
Every document is kept in your account, so it follows you to your other devices and survives a lost phone. 500 MB of storage is included, free.
The same page, four ways
A filter decides how the finished scan reads: keep the colour of the original, whiten the paper, or drop to pure black and white for the smallest file.
Where it runs
Scan Clan is on Android and iOS, on Windows, macOS and Linux, and in the browser. The camera, QR scanning and haptics are phone features; scanning, editing, filters, PDF tools and sync work everywhere.
About Scan Clan
Scan Clan exists to replace the office scanner for the documents people actually need to send: a signed form, an ID, a receipt, a page of notes. Finding the page in the photo, straightening it, cleaning it up and building the PDF all happen on your own device, so a scan takes a few seconds instead of a trip to a machine.

Your account and Google sign-in
A Scan Clan account is required to create documents, and it is free to make. Your documents are kept in your account rather than only on one phone, which is what lets them reach your other devices and survive a device you lose or replace. Every account includes 500 MB of storage. If you need more than that, write to support@spirikle.com and we will sort it out.
You can create that account with Google, or with an e-mail address and a password. When you use Google, we request your name, e-mail address and profile picture, and nothing else. Scan Clan does not read, send or manage anything else in your Google Account.
If you want your account and everything stored with it deleted, write to support@spirikle.com and we will delete it. What we collect and why is set out in full in the Privacy Policy.
